Lori A. Walsh
Welcome to the American Standard International School.
On behalf of our school it is my honor to introduce you to American Standard International School, Dhaka. Each year brings many new faces to our campus, some of whom may be experiencing the American curriculum and culture in an American school for the very first time. Our teachers and support staff are trained and continue to participate in workshops that add to their skills to ensure that they and their colleagues can provide your children with the very best in an American education institution.
The goal of the ESL program is to help students develop English language skills necessary for day to day life and to obtain English for their respective grade level.
Our Preschool, Pre-KG and KG classes follow Core Curriculum under the auspices of The United States Department of Education. We strive to develop creative skills, social and emotional values, thinking skills and physical development in our young pupils.
Primary & Middle Years
At ASIS Grades Primary grades (1-6) and Early Years (Preschool – Kindergarten) all follow the U. S Common Core Curriculum. The Common Core is a set of academic standards that every student is expected to learn in each grade level, from kindergarten through high school.
The Pearson’s Edexcel International Examinations is a series of comprehensive examinations on courses, directly regulated by Pearson’s education group and governed under the London Board of Education, which lead to preparing candidates to better equip themselves for various disciplines and schools when they are ready to pursue Bachelor Degrees from universities all around the world.

Mission & Philosophy
Our mission at ASIS is to provide quality education that is unquestionable in quality, in academic achievements, while taking into consideration the physical and psychological well-being of each maturing learner. The objective is to develop creative and intelligent human beings who understand and care for the community, respect other cultures, people & regions. In this light, any learner will embody multiculturalism and the need to become a global citizen in today’s interconnected world.
Education Through Inspiration & Fun
We make the lesson interesting so the student will find interest in the lesson.
That is the motto of this school.
Creating art expands a child’s ability to interact with the world around them, and provides a new set of skills for self-expression and communication. Not only does art help to develop the right side of the brain, it also cultivates important skills that benefit a child’s development.
